Kathy Shockley, Executive Director- Kathy Shockley joined the Rays of Light Board of Directors in November, 2023, and assumed the position of Executive Director in February, 2024. Kathy holds a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Southwestern University, Georgetown, Texas, and a Masters in Long Term Care Administration from the University of North Texas. While Kathy's professional career has focused on senior adults with a special emphasis on those with dementia, her personal volunteer work has focused on children. She and her husband Bryan have 2 adult daughters, and she is thrilled to be part of the Rays of Light team.
Elizabeth Rodriguez, Program Director-Elizabeth has been our program director since January of 2026. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from the University of Evansville and has a Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy degree from Grand Valley State University. Elizabeth has always had a passion for working with kids and after working in the healthcare field for several years, has shifted to work at Rays of Light to use her knowledge and enthusiasm to partner with families of kids with special needs. Elizabeth is married and has two elementary school-aged children. Somehow, she finds the free time to read and bake. Elizabeth is thrilled to be a part of the Rays of Light team.
Evelyn Hernandez, Program Coordinator White Rock UMC- Evelyn Hernandez is the part-time Program Coordinator overseeing the White Rock United Methodist Church and Wesley Rankin Community Center sites. Evelyn has been a volunteer with Rays of Light since 2018, and she is currently a pre-nursing student at Texas A&M Commerce. Some of Evelyn's favorite hobbies include reading, baking, and listening to music.
